Agile Coach

Is Agile an attitude, rather than just a buzzword for you? Can you add value to cross-functional teams with your passion for collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement? If so, you might be the Agile Coach we're looking for in Siteimprove.

As an Agile Coach, you will take responsibility for leading and evangelizing the agile transformation of the Product Development (PD) organization, motivating and energizing the organization through the employment of agile techniques.

You will take an active part in driving and supporting the adoption of an agile mindset, methodologies and behaviors in all members of the PD organization. You will facilitate a high performing development environment through sparring & discussion and lead individuals to become self-organizing, highly effective assets in productive teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional, highly skilled engineering teams and product owners.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize processes and bottlenecks, and foster communication
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve our processes, practices, and communication
  • Support and educate feature teams on agile ceremonies, aiming to groom and maintain the product backlog
  • Partner with feature teams to ensure that vision, roadmap, and personas are well-defined and understood
  • Define and refine organization’s agile principles, practices, and standards, following both best practice and enterprise goals
  • Define agile performance metrics, monitoring and assessing them regularly to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead by example, being an advisor to teams
  • Promote our culture of innovation and experimentation
  • Conduct sprint events: planning, stand-ups, refinement, demos, and retrospectives
  • Provide guidance for the team and key stakeholders in the definition of the vision, goals, and objectives

What We Require of You

  • Expert practitioner of Scrum and Lean Start Up
  • Proven success coaching teams at adopting Agile methodologies
  • Experience with approaches for scaling Agile (e.g., SAFe)
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., Atlassian tools -- JIRA, Confluence)
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of software development processes
  • Knowledge of agile software process management (Scrum / Kanban)
