The position

As an Analytical Associate Scientist in Oral Delivery Technologies you are responsible for early analytical testing of solid dosage forms, including HPLC/UHPLC. Your main task will be to conduct and conclude on chromatographic analytical testing of our solid dosage forms in the early research pipeline. You will also be involved in developing and performing in vitro dissolution testing methods and extraction methods for our novel oral peptide formulations. This opportunity will offer you high level of independence and flexibility within the research project framework. Working alongside talented colleagues, you will share ideas and inspiration across a breadth of different scientific disciplines and have the opportunity to collaborate across our global sites. The position is a temporary 2-year contract.

Qualifications

You must hold a relevant MSc degree in relevant discipline (e.g. analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology etc.).

Further qualifications are: 

  • Familiar with analysis of solid oral dosage forms
  • Documented hands-on experience with HPLC/UHPLC instruments
  • Experience with analysing peptides and proteins is an advantage
  • First-hand experience with design of experiments (DoE) in an analytical setting is desirable
  • You have a flexible mind-set and find it motivating to work in a dynamic project environment. You are a team player with a constructive attitude who takes pride in understanding and challenging science. You should value knowledge sharing with other scientists, as well as with our experienced laboratory technicians. You possess good networking and communication skills, and the ability to drive projects from idea to practice. You have problem solving skills and are creative in finding solutions to scientific challenges encountered during your research. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite.
