In our Oral Drug Product Analytical Development team, we are looking for an energetic Scientist within analysis and characterisation. As part of CMC Development we, furthermore, have possibilities within both scientific and leadership careers, making it possible to look into leadership aspirations towards the coming future.

About the department
Oral Analytical Development is responsible for developing Analytical methods and data for tablet development and batch release. We are also responsible for solid state characterisation including particle characterisation.

In the future, we are foreseeing exceptional interesting assignments as we are working on developing the oral diabetes products to go to market in the future. What we do is really innovative and important and in Novo Nordisk “all eyes are on us”.

Oral Drug Product Analytical Development is a team of 14 highly skilled and dedicated employees, Specialists, Analytical Scientists and Laboratory Technicians. Together we represent many years of scientific experience enabling us to innovate and solve exciting and challenging tasks every day.

The position
As an Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for analytical development and validation of analytical methods including chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC) and methods for solid dose formulations (e.g. dissolution). Other key tasks include solid state characterisation including water content and particle characterisation and support to stability, formulation and process development.

You contribute actively to ensure documentation of the analytical work and in maintaining the right quality level in the team. On an ongoing basis, you will take responsibility for ensuring that the facility and the equipment are validated and functioning. Writing Non Conformities and Change Requests and driving improvement tasks will also be a crucial part of your responsibility.

You will take responsibility for planning the different tasks and have a constructive collaboration with our internal stakeholders including Oral Formulation and Process Development, Quality Assurance, Research & Development and Production.

In other words this job also gives the opportunity to use or train project management skills taking lead on your tasks, communicating and coordinating with stake-holders cross functionally.

Qualifications
You hold an MSc or PhD in Pharmacy, Engineering or a related field within analytical support for oral solid dosage forms. A background from the pharmaceutical industry and experience with analysis/characterisation of tablets or capsules and/or proteins is an advantage.
