Would you like to use your technical knowledge and commercial understanding to help ensure that our project teams’ sourcing needs are met?In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting our product development – and through this, help ensure the development of green energy.

Support projects with their technical sourcing and procurement needs

As our new sourcing lead, you will coordinate sourcing support to our product development project teams in Denmark. Working simultaneously on several projects for KK Wind Solutions globally, you will be involved in every phase of each project to support quoting and design and to supervise material supply for prototypes as well as early serial production.

In short, you will be the representative for strategic sourcing in the projects, and you will coordinate your work and decisions with the category managers within your team. You will not need to order materials, however, you will support ordering and handle escalations when suppliers do not deliver within the required timeframe.

More specifically, your key tasks will be to:

  • Coordinate the sourcing support with each of the project managers
  • Review Bill of Material (BOM) for new products with technicians
  • Coordinate and support category manager involvement in projects
  • Coordinate and support sourcing-related master data creation in projects
  • Represent Global Sourcing in high-level project status meetings
  • Discuss quotes and supplier selection with category managers

You understand purchasing and know your way around mechanics and electrical components

With a steady and calm demeanor, you are the natural problem-solver who knows how to navigate in a sometimes hectic project-driven environment. Focused on providing an important service to others, you can determine what is needed in a project by using your sharp communication skills and ability to listen.

  • You have a technical background, perhaps as a mechanical or electrical engineer, giving you an understanding of the components needed in our various projects
  • You have a strong understanding of purchasing and logistics and 2+ years of experience from a logistics or procurement department
  • You have knowledge of ERP systems
  • You are willing to travel 10-30 days a year, primarily to Poland
  • You speak and write English effortlessly – Danish is a plus but not a requirement
