Working from our R&D office in Odense (Denmark), you become part of a leadership team consisting of 3 R&D software managers. In your role you will have 17 talented and passionate engineers divided in two Software teams, reporting to you. Both teams work with high-level software. One teams’ work focusses at the UR+ product platform and the other focuses on projects optimizing and developing core software in the robot.

  • Motivating your staff and ensuring that the teams have the necessary tools for continuous development and for delivering on projects
  • Working cross-functionally with other manager and engineers, and communicate status and progress to all stakeholders involved

As a people manager, you play an essential role as decision-maker and role model, and as you will manage technical specialists, you will need to possess the technical knowledge to understand their work. Setting the direction for the teams and their work, you also need to have a structured approach to your tasks and thrive in an independent position. Moreover, you:

  • Have leadership experience from either a similar position within people management or perhaps from project managing a team of specialists
  • Have proven experience in working with software development processes and Scrum
  • Have knowledge of CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Development)
  • Master clear communication across all organizational levels and functions
  • Have a degree in software engineering and exhibit an understanding of high-level software
  • Speak and write English effortlessly (Danish is a plus, but not a requirement)
