Are you experienced in complex lifting operation using heavy lift and jack up vessels? Tasks & responsibilities: You will… 

…be responsible for establishing safe and efficient systems of work, lift, rigging plans and calculations. You will support the Installation Manager and Project Team in the planning, execution and closure phases of projects and strive for continual improvement through evaluation and liaison with stakeholders.   You will also be responsible for:  

  • Supporting the management of interfaces between MVOW, Client and Installation Vessel owner to ensure lifts are carried out according to QHSE standards
  • Ensure that all equipment thoroughly examined and is certified fit for use and routine intermediate inspections are carried out   
  • Delegation of duties but not responsibilities to the crane supervisor
  • Ensure that crane supervisor and other members of the lifting team are fully briefed on the contents, scope and limits of the method statement associated risks 
  • Have in-depth knowledge of legislations (LOLER, PUWER) regulations and codes of Practice that relate to all types of lifting duties inclusive of. basic, standard and complex lifting operations as defined in e.g. BS7121
  • Have in-depth knowledge of DNVGL-ST-N001, ASME and OSHA standards
  • Calculate weights and centres of gravity for different types of loads, defines required rigging and sling angles. Calculates lifting equipment point loads and specifies mat types and sizes to dissipate ground loadings

…has a technical education and background combined with 5 years of experience with lifting operations and at least 2 years of experience with planning lifting operations in an environment where QHSE plays a significant role. You thrive in an environment focused on creating good and beneficial relationships with all stakeholders while never compromising with internal processes and procedures. As a person, you are outgoing and have excellent stakeholder management skills. It is important that you can influence and motivate the team in a calm and determined way.   We expect that you:  

  • Hold a CPCS Blue Card (Appointed Person), minimum level 5 NVQ for lifting operations or similar  
  • Are a problem-solver with a result-oriented mindset  
  • Are loyal, focused and take full responsibility of your business area 
  • Have previously worked on large-scale projects 
  • Have good IT skills (AutoCAD 2D_3D modelling, Microsoft-based platforms, ERP and coordination systems) 
  • Are fluent in English (verbal and written)

Are you responsible and result-driven, and are you ready the take on new responsibilities and one of MHI Vestas’ lifting operations experts? Can you take the lead and motivate others to achieve goals and a safe and high-quality manner?  You will join our Operations Site Resources & Electrical Operations and report directly to the Deputy Installation Manager. You will be working both on- and offshore coordinating the daily work, and you will be located at our office in Aarhus, DK, or Warrington, UK, depending on your residence.   

Tasks & responsibilities: You will… 

…be responsible for the daily coordination and execution of lifts performed during installation works. Together with the Installation Supervisors, you will ensure that the Installation Team works efficiently, safely and meets MHI Vestas’ high quality standards, and that they have all necessary documentation. After completing a lifting operation, you and the Installation Supervisors will be responsible for handing over required documentation and information to the Completion Team.   

You will also be responsible for:  

  • Ensure that the lifting operation is carried out in accordance with the Competent Persons safe system of work 
  • Ensure that pre-and post-use checks of the equipment have been undertaken and all documentation related to the lifting operation is in order and all certification is up to date

…holds a technical education (mechanical/electrical) combined with WTG experience. You are highly quality and safety focused and possess a strong continuous improvement mindset. To succeed in this position, it is important that you are a team player and can take the lead and act as a strong motivator and energiser of the team.   

We expect that you:  

  • Have good process understanding and administration skills 
  • Are customer-focused and have excellent communication and English skills 
  • Comprehensive experience in lifting operations, 4 years minimum experience in supervising lifting operations 
  • Able to confidently deliver information from the lifting plan to the installation team, to ensure they are fully briefed on the content and scope of the SSOW (Lift Plan and/or work instructions)
