The Department of Law at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for two or three assistant professor positions in the field of jurisprudence.

The assistant professorships are full-time and fixed-term three-year positions starting subject to mutual agreement.

An assistant professorship is a position for further education. Supervision and the opportunity of upgrading educational skills are provided with a view to developing the assistant professor’s teaching qualifications.

Job description
The successful applicants are expected to contribute significantly to the department’s research and teaching environment and to its overall research strategy. We expect you to teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level and to carry out individual and group-based research of high international standard, which contributes to developing the academic field in question. The teaching involved will primarily be at the BSc and MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law programmes as well as at the Master of Laws programme, for which reason the applicants must be able to teach in Danish.

Physical presence at the department will be required.

The successful applicants must be willing to actively pursue the department objective of securing increased external funding.

Your qualifications
To qualify for the position as assistant professor you must hold a PhD or have equivalent academic qualifications.

At the Department of Law, we teach and carry out high-level research within key fields of Danish, European and international law. In our teaching, we strive to build bridges between theory and practice, amongst others by drawing on external teachers’ practical experience.
