Associate Manager for Facility & Utility team

Novo Nordisk’s Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing Production factory (NMS) in Hjørring has the responsibility for production maturing, production sourcing and quality control of existing as well as new needle products for Novo Nordisk’s insulin pens, which make a difference for millions of people around the world.

NMS is a production site and responsible for the global supply of pen needles. The factory has 270 employees who all contribute in ensuring that Novo Nordisk remains leading within development of technology, systems, methods and processes.

About the department
The Facility & Utility team of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing is responsible for the facility and utility management of site NMS. This includes Cleanroom and Autoclaving supplies and processes, Spare part, calibration and Facility management. Your team consists of 20 highly committed and skilled Employees.

NMS is situated close to E39, only 30 minutes from Aalborg and Frederikshavn.

The position
As Associate Manager you lead by example, set the direction and as part of the Management team in the Business Support & Facility Management department, you will be responsible providing a state of the art service level.

You will support your employees in their daily efforts to solve tasks and challenges. In close collaboration with other departments at the factory, you and your team ensure that Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing is always able to deliver high quality products in a compliant and timely manner.

It is your job to shape a working environment that creates job enthusiasm and matches the requests and capabilities of your team. For this you set up KPIs and follow up accordingly to make sure that behavior and results are correctly measured. You set an example and point the way and you take pride in securing timely and high level of quality in your deliveries.

Preferable you have an Engineering degree in Chemistry, Mechanics or Production Technology or other relevant Managerial education.

If you are familiar with Quality Assurance (ISO9001/EN13485/cGMP), process validation and development of medical devices, it will be a distinct advantage, however, a couple of years’ experience from a production facility will also be relevant. Some years of leadership experience is expected.

You thrive in the decision-making role where decisiveness, self-consciousness and conflict management are key words and you know how to win acceptance through direct and clear communication.

Your work approach is analytical and structured and you always have an eye for the detail. Personally, you have a high drive and sense of initiative combined with empathy and the ability to support and engage your team. The ability to give feedback, coach and develop employees is also a focus point for the position.

Your language skills include proficiency in both Danish and English.
