Associate Professor of Haematological Nursing

The Research Unit of Haematology, Department of Clinical Research, invites applications for a position as Associate Professor of Haematological Nursing (60% time) to be filled as soon as possible.

The Research Unit of Haematology is part of the main regional centre and the only highly specialized Department of Haematology in the Region of Southern Denmark, situated at Odense University Hospital.
 
Research tasks: 

The position as associate professor in nursing is created to strengthen and develop the research within nursing.

Applicants are required to document:

- Obtained results within the field of nursing research documented by publications
- Successful track record in obtaining research funding
- Successful track record in interdisciplinary collaboration and with other sectors
- An academic degree (Ph.D. or equivalent)
- Competences regarding primarily qualitative and innovative research methods
- Effective oral, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Danish is not required initially, but will, however, be required after 1-2 years.

Teaching tasks: 

The applicant must anticipate teaching at the pre- and post-graduate courses offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences. These obligations include teaching at the PhD-program.

The majority of teaching and supervisor tasks will be at the Master of Science in nursing.


Expectations of qualifications:

The successful candidate will be expected to have

• a PhD degree in nursing
• research experience documented by international peer-reviewed journal articles within the fields of nursing 
• a documented record of teaching experience and teaching skills
• Ideally, the applicant must have personal skills to further develop a productive and collaborative research environment. These include:
• Outlook
• Personal robustness and power to decide
• Ability to communicate clearly
• A creative and inspiring mind
