The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in Neuroscientific Psychology to begin 1 December 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description
The position as Assistant Professor is a permanent position involving research and research-based teaching in the field of Neuroscientific Psychology. The successful candidate is expected to take on responsibility for research leadership with regard to developing the field, attracting external funding to the field, to participate in the Department's day-to-day activities (lectures, seminars, workshops, etc.), to undertake supervision of students at Bachelor’s/Master’s level and Phd students as well as to take part in administrative and organizational tasks.

Your qualifications
Candidates for the position are expected to have a thorough theoretical knowledge of the field as well as to have internationally recognized research experience in neuroscientific research and test methods (for instance, testing and/or scanning technique) and possibly interdisciplinary research and teaching experience in relation to psychology's other subdisciplines.
As the successful candidate must participate in all of the Department's main activities, for instance examination and administration, a non-Danish speaking candidate is required to acquire the necessary language skills within a short period of time (max. 2 years).

The candidate must hold a master’s degree in psychology, or equivalent qualifications, and a PhD degree in psychology, or equivalent qualifications. Applicants must possess research qualifications and teaching skills corresponding to those obtained after successful completion of a period of employment as an assistant professor, but equivalent academic qualifications may also be accepted.

Permanent employment as associate professor at Aarhus BSS requires completion of the supervision course and also the course Blended Learning – Go Online provided by Centre for Educational Development. If you have not completed the courses before commencement of employment, continued employment will be conditional on completion of the courses within a five year period.
