Audience Marketing Manager

Location: Any major hub in EMEA.

The Bing Ads Marketing Team in Microsoft Search Advertising is seeking a highly-experienced brand marketer, public speaker and thought leader for Bing and the Bing search advertising business through a variety of industry engagement channels.

This position will identify and land opportunities to ensure Bing Ads has a voice and position in the industry on both strategic and highly relevant industry topics that help to dive awareness, perception and advertiser engagement of our platform. The individual will need to work cross-functionally to develop stories that inform and educate while showcasing thought leadership and relevancy on timely topics affecting our customers and industry. A public face of the advertising business, this person will also be the creative source powering compelling executive and industry conversations across the Bing Ads team.

The individual will need to be an accomplished communicator, relationship manager and strategist, understanding the importance of both driving thought leadership as well as accurately representing Microsoft’s global messaging frameworks. They will be able to operate at the practitioner level, delivering insights and best practices to help customers run successful campaigns on the Bing Ads platform whilst also being able to deliver strategic narratives relevant for an event keynote or for senior leaders at an executive briefing.


  • Curate and develop key executive narratives in partnership with the global Brand team that resonate for C-Level and CMOs relevant to the search business in EMEA, leveraging the best of Microsoft’s external-facing content and innovation news.  Enable the Sales team to increase the scope and scale of the Bing and Microsoft narratives used in our digital business. Act  as the EMEA regional owner of and expert on the advertising messaging strategy, both proactive and reactive.
  • Represent Bing Ads in the industry as a thought leader and authority in EMEA across the search advertising, consumer and technology spaces as a speaker and a contributor.
  • Define and own EMEA all-up PR strategy in partnership with our global Brand and Corp Comms teams to drive awareness and mindshare in EMEA markets. Execute through vendor PR partner, local marketing partners & Sales teams.
  • Launch, nurture and grow a network of Search and Digital influencerswho will carry the Bing key messages on our behalf
  • Further develop and implement Bing Ads’ E2E social media strategy for the EMEA region, effectively leveraging our intern and Sales communities as key voices, differentiating Bing Ads and building awareness and engagement.


Experience in the search or online advertising industry

Experience working as a brand manager, product manager, account management or equivalent evangelism role, preferably in the search or online advertising industry

Experience securing speaking engagements at industry events and public speaking experience

Experience building relationships and engaging senior audiences.

Experience writing for industry publications

Experience and ability to analyse and leverage insights from consumer research for defining brand narrative direction.

Vendor/agency management and budget experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent commercial experience
