You have the unique opportunity to contribute with your experience and your knowledge to the success of these ambitious and ground-breaking endeavours. The department of Applied Automation within Global Research Technologies is a dedicated automation department delivering novel automation solutions for lab research.

The position
We are searching for a candidate that can bring advanced knowledge and experience to our team in the use of robotics and machine vision that can transform how we do basic scientific research. We are looking for a communicative, outgoing person that is driven to look for challenges and solutions wherever you find them.

Qualifications
You will have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical/robotic engineering or similar. You have knowledge and experience with general-purpose programming languages (e.g. VB/VBA/VBS, Python, Perl, R, C++/C#). You must be familiar with PLC programming and the use of systems from Festo, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff or similar). You must have hands on experience (2+ years) of use and programming of robots from Fanuc, Universal Robots, Kassow, ABB or Epson. Ideally you have experience with CAD software, ROS or programs for robotics (such as RoboDK or RobotStudio). You are experienced with machine vision systems (such as from Cognex or Keyence) and can implement them to work with robotics.
Efficient communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing are some of your important qualities as well as being flexible and capable of adapting in an often-changing research environment. Solid English capabilities are required for writing documentation and for communication with colleagues in a multinational corporation.
