Backend or Full-stack developer (.Net)

Are you an experienced .Net backend or full-stack developer? Are you passionate about developing digital solutions and comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders across an international organisation?

Your challenges

As IT developer, you will be working alongside others, both onshore and offshore, on solutions for our online shops, marketing sites and more, which are currently used in more than 30 countries. We use Sitecore as our CMS and have built our own state-of-the-art commerce platform to support the 60+ shops, we manage. 

You will enter a team of skilled IT developers, utilizing the newest technologies to build and improve services for our customers, and you will be involved in the entire process from idea to implementation. You will have a large influence on the VELUX Group’s digital presence as well as on your own job. 

As part of the Service, Development and Design team at the Head Office in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, you will have 8 motivated and creative colleagues onshore, and be part of a much larger IT and Digital Enablement team.

Your qualifications

You have a relevant educational background and experience from a similar job. You have a strong command of written and spoken English and you learn and adapt quickly in the ever-changing world of the web.

Moreover, we expect that you are: 

  • A competent .Net (C#) developer, used to web development and daily work with MVC.
  • Experienced working with CMS – Sitecore, would be an advantage, but we will give you the necessary training.
  • Competent in CSS, HTML, JavaScript and experience with one or more Javascript frameworks like angular and vue.js is an advantage.
  • Experienced in agile/scrum development processes and with using TFS/GIT.
  • Experienced with one or more task runners like gulp, grunt or webpack.
  • On a personal level, you are a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, who thrives on working in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with tight, but realistic, deadlines. You have a positive mindset and through your communication skills, you help others to learn and develop, whilst respecting and acknowledging their competencies and contributions. You enjoy coordinating with many stakeholders and understand the importance of keeping everyone up to date. Last, but not least, you have a structured and analytical approach to your work, and you acknowledge the importance of prioritising your efforts optimally.
