Biostatistician for international position in Copenhagen

The pandemic states the obvious; it has never been more important with effectful medicine than now. The Danish Medicines Agency (DKMA) has a huge responsibility to secure the future medicine for the whole population of Europe.

We offer you a fantastic exciting and international job, where you will be the focal point for approving and monitoring future medical offers to the Europeans. Based in wonderful Copenhagen you will be collaborating with many skilled agents both in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Sister-organisations to the Danish Medicines Agency in other countries.

We offer an interesting task portfolio where you will be working with large and complex data sets from many different sources. You will be evaluating new human medicines for authorisation in the European Medicines Agency and will provide statistical input to scientific advice. The position is in our newly created Centre for Data-analysis (DAC), in which we have gathered the most competent people to analyse CDISC-data and Real Worlds Data. You will also be working close together colleagues from all the different departments of the organisation to ensure statistic evaluation of applications for marketing authorization of new medicines.

We offer an attractive package with 37 working hours per week, great flexibility and independency in your work planning, well-defined tasks and, not the least, an attractive salary with a high employer-paid pension scheme.

You will be offered to live in one of the world's best cities close to the sea. Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark with a rich offer of world-class cultural and leisure activities. The city is a clean and safe place to live, and the Danes are among the happiest people in the World. We are ready to help you in the moving process, and if you bring your family, there are plenty of good offers of both public and private kindergartens or schools.

A working day could look like this: From the morning you check a pharmaceutical company's study of a trial targeting cancer patients, around lunch you advise another pharmaceutical company, who are unsure about the design of their phase-3 program, and in the afternoon you are co-authoring a report to the European Medicines Committee. You’ll be in a team where we want to work agile, keep bureaucracy at a minimum, and be openminded and helpful.

These are important tasks and you get the opportunity to make a great difference. You will fortunately be cooperating with a lot of competent and committed colleagues. We have a culture of cooperation that is characterized by a high professional dedication and an informal working environment.

About you
You have a high professionalism as a statistician and an extensive experience in analysis of medicine data. You are good at cooperating with other people and has a sharp pen and tongue. You have a thorough understanding of parametric and non-parametric methods as well as acquired skills in time-to-event static methods and mixed models in the analysis of longitudinal data.

You have a relevant master's degree in science and speak and write English at a professional level. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar job in the Biotech industry, pharmaceutical industry, hospital world or from a university research environment or from another country's pharmaceutical agency.
