Business Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst; solution-oriented, dedicated and excited to work in the cross field between controlling, business intelligence and -development.

As Europe's largest platform for professional services, we’re invested in adding transparency to the markets of accounting and legal services. Ageras is a disruptive, fast-paced company where IT is our core product.

As part of our Finance team, you will create and analyze large data sets and build dashboards in Periscope. We’re in the process of changing data visualization tool to Chartio – and you’ll help ensure its integration. You’ll report directly to our CFO and work closely with the rest of our management team and support with both weekly and monthly reporting. You will:

  • Build various reports (Board and management reporting, Weekly reporting, KPIs, etc.)
  • Follow-up on KPIs and the formulation of improvement measures
  • Prepare business cases and various other business support activities
  • Develop and maintain work processes and process support systems
  • Various other financial tasks and reports, ad hoc and recurring

Requirements

You are:

You are in the beginning of your career and you probably have a BSc or MSc degree in business economics, mathematics, IT, or something similar – but more importantly, you have strong analytical abilities and a solid commercial understanding. You’re able to analyze data to draw business-relevant conclusions and use data visualization techniques and tools to structure large data sets. As a person, you easily forge strong relationships with all types of people, and we expect you to speak your mind. You have:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in writing SQL queries in MySQL
  • A willingness to grow and learn
  • A solution-oriented mindset and autonomous working style
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Familiarity with Business Development / Intelligence as well as financial/accounting terms and practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
