Business Analyst in Medical Affairs, Regulatory & Safety

Novo Nordisk’s customer complaint system, CCGloW, is built on EtQ’s Reliance platform.

As Business Analyst working with our global complaint handling system, you will help convert manual processes into new system features & facilities, support users in diverse functional and geographical areas, and extract data for analysis and reporting.

This is a highly versatile job where you will gain broad exposure to the company through interaction with stakeholders. The system links production sites, R&D, as well as our affiliates around the globe together. It requires an interest in and a good ability to understand stakeholder and process needs; and translating these (via database skills including SQL), into value creating IT solutions.

About the department
The department is part of the Global Safety organisation in Novo Nordisk and is responsible for global handling of product complaints. It consists of 13 highly skilled and dedicated colleagues who as a team strive to secure a high quality and outstanding results in a professional and challenging environment. We are located in Bagsværd, Denmark.

The position
As the bridge between users and various internal & external IT organisations, you need excellent communication skills including the ability to translate the specialised processes & language of complaint handlers into the technical language of IT supporters & developers.

Your main tasks are to contribute to development of system improvements, and to provide tools for reporting. This includes idea evaluation, specification, prioritization, programming (high level SQL & Excel macros), testing, implementation, and throughout it all documentation.

Together with colleagues, you will also be responsible for providing functional support to almost 1000 users worldwide primarily through our super-user network. Finally you will be a local support in understanding our data through Business Intelligence solutions.

Qualifications
You have a relevant university degree and optimally can document some years of relevant experience. You may also have developed the relevant skills through years of experience working with IT and business intelligence systems. The ideal candidate has experience with programming in SQL and understands the dynamics of working in projects.

It would be an advantage if your experience includes work with Business Intelligence or reporting solutions, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industry. You have technical flair and can translate user needs into actionable and tangible products such as graphs, reports or dashboards e.g. through advanced Excel skills. Experience with design and developing in QlikSense, or similar Business Intelligence self-service tools, is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. You will be developing and designing in QlikSense with a team, but will also spend time independently building solutions based on stakeholder input.

You communicate well in spoken and written English with non-technical users and IT technicians alike.

The candidate can work independently and is able to handle several tasks at the same time. You have a strong personal drive; you are service oriented and proactive in your approach. You thrive in a busy environment with sometimes changing priorities and bring a positive can-do attitude to your work even when the pressure is on. You must have high level of analytical skills and ability to quickly obtain an overview while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Moreover you are able to complete tasks and still work in a structured manner.

Finally, it is vital that the candidate has a good sense of humour and team working abilities.
