Business Development Manager

You’ll be part of the Digital Service commercial team in Group eCommerce, within Merchant Services. Our mission is to serve our high value ecommerce partners and their merchants with genuine world-class innovative, reliable and secure digital payment solutions, specializing in subscription and recurring payments services completely attuned to their specific needs.

You’ll be powering Digital Services
As a Business Development Manger, you’ll join a small but extremely dynamic and independent team, working alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues. You will be accountable for new business sales and account management of our key partners and merchants. You will be responsible for building and developing key relationships, driving sales and commercial success, developing and growing sales plans, prospects, and pipelines, and ensuring that the business achieves its commercial goals. 

To be successful in this role, you will need understand the key needs of our partners and merchants, be able to solve problems and issues, have a commercial mentality, and a strong drive to achieve goals.

Ultimately, you will help us roll-out best in class Digital Service solutions and services that deliver on our company’s overall mission and vision. The position can be located at our offices in Denmark, Norway, Finland or Sweden

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of partners and merchant accounts, while also maintaining and improving satisfaction and commercial contribution of those accounts.
  • Develop a pipeline of new business prospects, and cross and up-sell opportunities.
  • Execute marketing initiatives to drive leads and generate revenue opportunities, including representing the Digital Services team at external events and trade shows.
  • Support RFI and tenders where required.
  • Responsible for delivering high-quality services to merchants and efficient communication within the team.
  • Own partner and merchant communications and interactions, and build relationships with key stakeholders there to increase satisfaction.

    Your professional skills and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s also your personality that makes the difference at Nets. 

    Your qualifications include:

  • Min. 5 years of work experience in relationship management, sales or account management.
  • Experience of managing and selling to high value / premium VIP merchants, in the digital / ecommerce sector. Experience with the Digital Services verticals is considered desirable.
  • Strong results in achieving commercial goals, and ability to work analytically to target appropriate prospects.
  • Excellent customer-first mindset and commercial acumen, with the ability to nurture customer relationships and help them grow.
  • Strong communication, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, and interact and operate excellently within a small team of experts distributed throughout Europe.
  • MS Office, Salesforce and CRM systems experience is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English. Skills in other main European languages is desirable.
