Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with an ambition to become the true global leader of the value-added whey business. You will be part of the Health & Performance Strategic Business Unit based in AFI headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.

We develop, market and sell specialised whey protein ingredients for the global clinical nutrition, sports nutrition and health food industry.

Global sales support and business development
You will be responsible for developing our business in the clinical nutrition area globally. Together with Regional Account Managers and Global Account Managers you maintain and develop our ingredients business through strong relationships, market knowledge, nutritional insights and product portfolio overview. Your main responsibilities externally will be to present products, communicate scientific evidence, support customers with technical knowledge and drive business development projects. In addition, you will be responsible internally for providing input for market-oriented project and product development. As an intermediate link between our customers, the global sales force and headquarters you will participate in product development and customer specific projects. You will be responsible for gathering market information and developing sales material as well as supporting the development of market segment and product strategies by development and execution of plans for the market.

Natural Sciences’ degree and sales and marketing experience
You hold a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, Biomedicine, Biochemistry or the like and have previously worked with sales and/or marketing in the medical food or health care industry. Preferably, you also have experience with project management. You are proficient in verbal and written English and possess excellent presentation skills.

Even though your platform is scientific, you have a natural flair for business, and you are self-propelled, possess a high drive as well as extraordinarily good communication and interpersonal skills. You enjoy working with colleagues at all levels in the organization and from various cultural backgrounds. In addition, you have the ability and willingness to grasp complicated scientific information and translate the essence into a market relevant concepts. With your natural curiosity, you are eager to learn and share your knowledge.

Finally, you must be capable of handling and solving many tasks simultaneously, working in a dynamic environment. You can look forward to gaining an extensive contact base and should expect approximately 50-70 travel days yearly.
