Your challenges
At the VELUX facility in Kolding, you will join the Contract Logistics Commercial (CLC) department, and at the same time, be a part of the unformal Subject Matter Expert (SME) team, containing peers from 4 other departments.  

Here, your most important task will be closing the gaps and ensuring our processes meet our current standards. Participating in optimisation projects, you will be responsible for adjustments within the business processes related to SAP Logistics and for ensuring the most optimal system solutions.

“Some of your focus areas will initially be ensuring that our processes related to our EDI, transportation costs and label flows are stabilised, operational and meet our current standards for SAP integrations,” explains Michael C. Lyhne, Director, Contract Logistics Commercial.

Amongst other tasks, you will:

  • Help ensure business alignment during process optimisations, being creative in meeting both business needs and system standards while creating process transparency and agility
  • Analyse existing processes and identify their impact on the business
  • Monitor, test and validate IT solutions
  • Become a subject matter expert within SAP integration and contract logistics

Your qualifications
We do not expect you to have extensive experience with SAP – you could be a fairly recent graduate within engineering, business or IT, or maybe you are self-taught and have considerable experience, desiring a supporting role in a back-office position within SAP and business processes.

  • You have at least 1-2 years’ relevant experience
  • You possess some skills in SAP – experience with SAP Logistics and supplier integration it is a considerable advantage
  • You have a solid business and business process understanding
  • You are interested in continuous improvement and optimising processes within logistics
  • You communicate effortlessly in English

Your opportunities
As VELUX A/S has a complex logistics flow which includes several factories, 17 outsourced distribution centres and approx. 100 LSP set-ups, it is imperative to secure the right governance to maintain cost efficiency. And your role will be crucial to help get us there.

In CLC, we are to be 7 colleagues occupied with contract and tender management, business partnering, performance management and optimisation, our SRM platform and SAP process management – as will you. Parallel with your involvement in CLC, you collaborate with VELUX IT representatives and other process specialists across departments to discuss and define projects and business input from the rest of the organisation.

”You will work closely with our Business Process Manager whom you will shadow during your first time here to help you settle into the role and understand our business culture, business needs and existing processes and SAP Logistics set-up,” finishes Michael.
