Responsibilities


As a CAD Engineer your responsibilities will be:
  • Generate solutions to design tasks, fulfilling product and technology roadmaps
  • Develop 3D-CAD design/models, 2D drawings and bill of materials based on design specifications
  • Verify the design against the requirements
  • Define GPS/GD&T on drawings reflecting manufacturing standards 
  • Ensure cost-efficient design and usage of standard parts as well as manufacturing standards
  • Embed relevant design and production knowledge into CAD by defining master models (parametrical models) and design guidelines/ checklists
  • Standardization
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders across the value chain on engineering the best solutions to achieve the right quality and cost savings
  • Design with safety and reliability in focus
  • Qualifications 

  • M.Sc. within Mechanical/Structural/Civil/Aerospace engineering
  • Experience with Large assemblies in Creo parametric tool, PDMLink Winchill
  • Knowledge of composite materials
  • Engineering drawing: knowledge of international engineering design and drawing standards (Eurocodes, European standards, DNVGL)
  • System Engineering knowledge: Ability to identify impacts from/to other systems
  • System interface design & stakeholder management
  • Ensure 3D/2D CAD quality (GPS, NDT, CTQ)
  • Experience with design, development and optimization of innovative (metallic or composite) mechanical components
  • Requirement engineering
  • 3D CAD Surface design in Creo Parametrics / CATIA V5
