Carer, Greater London, United Kingdom

Great jobs for great people – Origin is seeking highly motivated, independent people to train as carers for people with spinal injuries. If you want real job satisfaction and to make a difference to someone else’s life then this is a job for you!

The Role:

  • Personal care of clients including washing and dressing
  • Household tasks such as light cleaning and tidying, shopping, cooking
  • Driving client to and from work, social events, day to day activities

Matthew is an example of a client you could be working with.

Matthew’s working week is split between his work at a local accountant’s office and work from home. A hectic schedule between the office and home means Matthew needs someone who is organised, practical and committed to fitting in tasks when time allows. On less hectic days Matthew enjoys music and has an extensive knowledge of music from jazz to dance – he is also an excellent keyboard player.

Matthew says his needs are simple – someone with a good personality who can quickly get to understand his routines and be aware of when he wants time and space on his own. Being able to cook at least a few decent meals would be a bonus – oh yes and to like dogs! In this case a Jack Russell.

The Reward:

  • Full specialist spinal injury care training that can help in your future career/studies
  • Free food and accommodation whilst working
  • Start pay is £100 per day

To qualify for interview:

  • You must hold a full driving licence
  • Speak good English in order to communicate with clients
  • See www.origincare.com for requirements
