Category Manager

We are looking for a Category Manager to plan, develop and implement various sourcing initiatives. Are you ready for the next step in your career? Then you may be the candidate we are looking for!

The Job
As our new colleague, you will be an important part in developing, implementing, and maintaining our category management strategy across our global organisation and large supplier network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for suppliers and negotiation of new as well as existing categories, including:
  • Mechanics 
  • DEIF-specific components and products
  • Non-BOM goods and services
  • Cost optimisation based on existing purchase basis.
  • Develop and maintain our supplier partnerships in conjunction with product management.
  • Enter and continuously ensure compliance of supplier contracts in accordance with our purchasing strategy.
  • Involvement in development projects and in cooperation with R&D ensure correct component/supplier selection.
  • Launch, initiate and ensure initiatives in connection with the optimisation of our global Supply Chain and the sustainable security of supply.
  • Ensure overall benchmarking and structured supplier management across the organisation.

You will be part of our experienced sourcing, purchasing & Quality department, which handles all the sourcing and purchasing tasks. You will experience a close collaboration across the organisation with, among others, sales, production, product managers and development.

The person
You have a higher economic or technical education, and preferably you have experience from a similar job. The most important thing is that you are passionate about the profession and are ready to seize the challenge. You have knowledge of supplier management, and you are a powerful negotiator. In addition, you are an experienced user of Excel and familiar with ERP systems. You master English and Danish at a high level.

You thrive in a dynamic environment, where no day is the same, and you easily communicate with different partners internally and externally. You set up and maintain action plans, so that you ensure that you and your collaborators reach the agreed goals and complete the task according to the DEIF values. You have a proactive approach to your suppliers, and you have an analytical and strategic approach to your tasks.
