Channel Development Manager, Aarhus

Develop sales channel strategies and new business opportunities
As a Channel development manager in the Customer Marketing team, you will be tasked with developing our go to market strategies and tactical new business opportunities for all healthy foods and drink selling channels where dairy can play a role.

Our customers include grocery retailers, online specialists, convenience channel, canteens, hospitals and schools, and you tailor each project according to their needs and resources. Prioritising opportunities and projects to ensure a good balance between long-term goals and short-term pay-off, you drive management of sales business opportunities across channels, at times taking up the role of project leader.

Specifically, you:

  • Develop sales and channel strategies and assist in identifying and evaluating sales business opportunities by conducting market research and studies to analyse viability
  • Manage a portfolio of sales innovations, preparing implementation and following up on performance to deliver according to profit targets and KPIs for Arla as well as customers at aggregate level
  • Support annual business planning processes and provide input for long-term sales strategies and processes, next level of customer engagement and training in new ways of working
  • Collect, verify and analyse information about potential business partners, new services or other business opportunities and present to senior management to secure an accurate foundation for strategic and operational decision-making

Creative sales channel developer with excellent stakeholder management skills
We are looking for a colleague who has a flair for sales development and enjoys exploring new channels and ideas. Perhaps you have previously worked with business development and are now ready for close customer collaboration, or perhaps you are a creative category or key account manager who is ready to take a project-based approach to sales. You hold a degree in business or similar and have at least 3 years of FMCG experience, preferably within marketing, sales or business development, as well as at least a year of experience with sales.

Your communication skills are solid. You speak and write English fluently, and it is an advantage if you speak Danish, too. Solid stakeholder management skills are crucial as is the ability to build commitment among colleagues and customers alike. In line with this, it is a definite advantage if you have previously worked with FMCG in the Danish market, so you have developed a good feel of the needs and capacity of our customers and can tailor your projects and recommendations accordingly.
