Chief Architect - FSI

Financial Services organisations are continuing to transform. New technologies and advanced capabilities are accelerating the adoption of digital technologies. To support this growth and opportunity, Microsoft Consulting Services is looking for senior level, experienced, software and cloud Solution Architects with deep Financial Services industry experience. Ideally you will have 10 years or more of experience gained from architecting and developing solutions in these areas. Along with your strong industry experience, you will have broad technology knowledge andreal worldexperience in the delivery ofcloud basedsolutions at scale. Experience of the Microsoft platform will be valuable, but we are looking for individuals who have experience across multiple platforms and can bring an awareness of the strengths and weakness of different platforms and solution approaches in the context of Financial Services.

At Microsoft you will have the opportunity to architect and build the most innovative end to end solutions for our customers to help with their digital transformation and modernization agenda. You will be expected to bring a strategic perspective and the ability to identify and act upon the patterns that exist across our customers, projects and our people. Support to the development of our automotive solution delivery capability will be a key part of the role. You will have the opportunity to work with product engineering teams to shape the future of ourcloud basedservices.


You need to be a leader in demonstrating architecture, planning, deploying solutions including the following:

  • Consistent record of building deep relationships with senior executives and helping to build innovative cloud solutions in large or highly strategicaccounts
  • Demonstrated excellence with consulting skills and presenting complex topics to both business executive and technicalpersonnel
  • Demonstrable capabilities in articulating the customer business value that can be achieved throughtechnology
  • Proven experience leading Architecture teams in pre-sales, from deal-shaping and solutioning through to contract for significant, Enterprise consulting engagements 
  • Consistent track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with extraordinary verbal and writtencommunication
  • Demonstrated excellence when facilitating customer design and awareness sessions that are focused on complex application solution architectures.
  • An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers.
  • Architectural understanding of and implementation experience across one or more of the leading cloud provider platforms (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Demonstrate equal strength and capability throughout the lifecycle of complex engagement delivery, leading a solution team from architecture and design to implementation. 
  • Resourceful, confident under pressure, and demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.

  • Review Solution Architect Quality insurance and alignment to expected businesscapabilities
  • Define Solution Roadmap with customer to expand usage and additional usescases
