Grab your chance and make good use of your management skills and affinity with medical devices! Align Technology is looking for its first Clinical Support Lead dedicated only to the Nordics. In order to grow into this role successfully, you must be eager to start your career at Align Technology undergoing extensive training in our Amsterdam office (several months) and across the Nordics region. You will start building your knowledge level on the company, products, processes, policies and daily operational tasks - under guidance of the Clinical Support team in our Amsterdam office and across the Nordics. In the course of 2021 we are planning to open our office in Copenhagen and by then you should be up and running, ready to manage the Clinical Support team in the Nordics. In this position, you own our local clinical support strategy, customer satisfaction, clinical education and collaborate with strategic alliances. You coach the team and ensure smooth collaboration with other teams and departments while also interacting with both internal and external customers. Job Description Summary As a Clinical Lead, you will invest your time as a Clinical Advisor with direct contact with customers and as a Manager of the Nordics Clinical Support team, collaborating with the Sales team, Customer Success and other departments. The Clinical Lead is responsible for clinical communication and support to external and internal customers, interaction and communication with orthodontists and general dentists, and treatment coordinators related to case specific issues, ClinCheck (Digital treatment plan) quality and troubleshooting. The role also requires being comfortable when speaking in public, during internal or external training events, with presentation for sales and clinical education materials. The Clinical Lead is responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering product and clinical related training to Align Technology clinical support personnel. Involved in planning, coordinating and/or presenting clinical content for new hire training and regular updates for team members. You will be part of the Management team, collaborating with other teams and departments, locally and across the business, co-creating the clinical education agenda, managing speakers, key opinion leaders and key relationships, working proactively with Universities in the region and day to day needs of Universities and research programs, managing complaints and providing solutions to customers and internal teams. In this role, you will… Manage day to day tasks within Clinical Support Provide clinical customer support to orthodontists and general dentists in the areas of case evaluation, ClinCheck support as well as clinical troubleshooting, mid-course correction and case refinement. Liaison with ClinCheck technicians and teams with regards to ClinCheck quality and setup. Investigation and Analysis of Clinical-related customer inquiries, complaints and adverse events. Ensure timely resolution to customer contact issue whether in-bound or out-bound. Accurately and thoroughly document information in the company’s database(s) about each contact they handle following defined parameters. Be alert to trends in requests and issues reported by customers. Research information to answer inquiries from customers and share learning’s with departmental peers and management. Ensuring adequate coverage & and availability of resources Supervise and implement scheduling Ensure ownership, action to resolution, back up and contingency within the team Obtain and maintain customer satisfaction leveraging from productivity and employee morale within a stable atmosphere. Manage departmental procedures to obtain 100% accuracy and completeness in all areas Continuously identify and drive improvement initiatives through people, process & systems/tools Assist fellow Managers in process/program management & implementation Obtain & maintain appropriate knowledge level of employees on products and process through employee training & development Actively participate with new hire recruitment process as required to maintain organization’s resources Oversee development of content of clinical training and reference materials. Assist with review of power point presentations, digital images and scans for marketing and/or sales materials as well as clinical education materials. Manage content, process, and message of Clinical Support and liaise and training with Treat Teams. Clinical Training (internal) – Establish and oversee internal clinical education (to Align employees), in particular Sales and Clinical Support. Participate in any other clinical or sales meeting, as needed. Additional job responsibilities: Provides technical assistance to customers Basic support for basic (clinical) tooling matters Follows all departmental and company procedures as indicated in quality, administrative, or other systems Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. In this role, you’ll need… College graduate (BA/BS) in dentistry, or related. 5+ years experience in customer relations in medical / dental related areas, corporates or/and management Language skills: Native or very fluent in any of the following languages: Danish, Norwegian and/or Swedish. Very fluent in English (spoken, written, reading). Strong interpersonal, listening and persuasive communication skills. Demonstrative Leadership required. People management experience is a plus Strategic Thinker Dynamic, optimistic, accurate, hard-working, creative Proactive, takes initiative, action and results oriented. Independent / Ability to work without constant supervision. Highly Organized, strong time management skills Attention to detail. A strong, customer focused attitude. Willingness to learn. Good knowledge of basic computer operations and Microsoft Office tools. Resilient and able to flourish in young international company experiencing significant growth (i.e. roll up sleeves approach and able to deal with ambiguity)
