Cloud Developer Specialist

As an Azure AppDev Sales Specialist, you will be part of our Microsoft enterprise sales organization, driving sales and digital transformation with our largest customers and being responsible for some of our most innovative Azure cloud offerings. You will be a trusted advisor and a cloud application development subject matter expert. You will work within our extended azure team including Cloud Infrastructure and Data&AI extending all the way to our partner organization.

You will enable customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and scope projects to win the technical decision allowing you and the team to achieve/exceed quarterly application and developer services sales and usage/consumption targets in your assigned accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise and at the same time work at the forefront of customers' journey to cloud as part of their digital transformation


  • Work with customers to identify and surface new opportunities that align with the customer’s business strategy. You will work with partners and others at Microsoft, as well as use our core tools and targeted account lists to identify and engage prioritized customers.
  • Act as the key technical leader, trusted advisor and influencer in shaping customer decisions to buy, architect and adopt to Azure Cloud and Application Development solutions. You will own winning the technical decision at customers for sales opportunities and usage scenarios, through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to customers, engaging with them to show our technology differentiation, and guiding them in decision making. You will lead presentations, demonstrations, architecture design sessions to explain, demonstrate, and prove to our largest customers the capabilities of Microsoft's products and services, and how we can make their businesses more successful.
  • Qualifications

    Technical Skills

  • Solution sales experience for Azure AppDev services, Github, AKS and Azure ARC or similar business applications
  • Experience of selling software-as-a-service or cloud-based business applications to enterprise customers, and of carrying and exceeding a large sales / cloud consumption quota by driving and closing enterprise deals
  • Knowledge of Azure Apps & Infra solutions and how they translate into business impact 
  • Knowledge of scalable architectures Azure App Service, container orchestration AKS, Kubernetes, etc.) and how they translate into business impact
  • Software development practices such as DevOps and CI/CD tool chains Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.) and how they translate into business impact
  • Proven passion and commitment for customer success within an enterprise sales setting, excellent at developing strong senior relationships across an organisation and with business customers
  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Certification in the following technologies preferred: Cloud, web application development, cloud-native application architecture containers, microservices, API management. intergration), modern software development techniques like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure developer services, GitHub) and container orchestration systems Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Cloud Foundry, Azure Kubernetes Service, GitHub).
