Commercial Manager

Commercial lead on global projects in consultancy within the renewable industry 

K2 Management is a global, independent and leading consultancy within the renewable industry. To support the rapid growth in demand for our services and to strengthen our tender and contract management, we are currently looking for a Commercial Manager with a passion for working with renewable technologies (solar, wind and storage).  You will report directly to our Director, Innovation and Design Optimization, and this position will be based in one of our premises in Denmark (Viby J/Copenhagen), UK (Glasgow/Bristol) or Germany (Hamburg). As K2 Management is a growing company worldwide, this position will offer significant career and learning opportunities to the right candidate.  As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the commercial part in our clients’ projects, from early development phase to completion of the project, and you will play a key role in the tender. In addition, your area of responsibilities will include:  

  • Commercial lead during the tender phase, specifically responsible for leading negotiations with suppliers 
  • Assist with contract management to secure knowledge transfer in the different phases of project realization 
  • Assist or lead development of proposals and other new business development activities 
  • Support the development of new products/concepts based on client needs in terms of pricing and supply chain mapping, in close cooperation with relevant departments 
  • Create effective sales material for internal stakeholders and external clients 
  • Develop and maintain product generation plan 
  • Assist in monitoring and analysing competitor activity and market trends within relevant product areas 
  • Support in defining a product strategy and implementing the product/project plan  
  • Building strong relations to suppliers and internal stakeholders 

Project Manager with commercial mindset and financial and/or engineering background 

  • Financial and/or engineering background combined with 3+ years of international experience from a similar position in the renewable industry 
  • Experience with procurement, tender or contract management 
  • Commercial mindset 
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing 
  • As a person, you are cooperative and a dedicated team player, yet also able to work independently. You are a strong communicator with an open mind-set, always aiming at delivering high quality and stretched flexibility. You have a structured and analytical approach to your job, while at the same time retaining the great overview and keeping in mind what is best for the company.
