The Communication and Branding function in Maersk Drilling is looking for a high caliber Communication Partner and Press Officer to join a team of four communications professionals. We offer an exciting opportunity to influence the communication strategy as well as day-to-day communication to internal and external stakeholders in Maersk Drilling. Key responsibilities  

Your key responsibilities will include implementation of our overall communication strategy through planning and content production while functioning as a trusted advisor providing counsel and communications support to the business worldwide.   Leveraging your strong interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for ensuring that business initiatives and functional teams have appropriate communications support while project managing communications and corporate branding projects in a timely and effective manner.   Together with the Head of Corporate Communication, you will assume the responsibility of managing press relations, building and maintaining a strong network among domestic and international business journalists and other relevant external stakeholders, drafting media plans, statement papers and managing crisis communication.   

Additional areas of responsibility include:  

  • Develop, promote and maintain a corporate PR Strategy  
  • Manage and develop internal and external communication infrastructure  
  • Engage with operational leaders and functional managers across departments to support consistent communication to the global organisation – onshore and offshore  
  • Develop communication strategies and plans to support various communication activities and campaigns  
  • Create engaging content for selected internal and external channels  
  • Develop measurement criteria and processes that effectively evaluate communications programs including brand awareness  
  • Support the development of digital platforms such as website, intranet and social media  

 Who we are looking for  

We are looking for a Communication Partner and Press Officer with the following characteristics:  

  • You hold a degree in journalism or communication with at least 4-7 years of experience from a media/news company, corporate communication department, communications agency or similar  
  • You have extensive experience with acting as contact point for media and handling all matters related to the press  
  • You have a proven track record of working with financial communication  
  • You have experience with developing communication strategies and you keep a sharp focus to ensure that communication supports the overall business strategy  
  • You excel at handling complexities among multiple channels, content creators, agencies and internal stakeholders  
  • You are diligent by nature, you enjoy a fast paced working environment and you are good at managing a number of projects at the same time  
  • You have excellent writing skills and know how to identify, research and present the "good" story  
  • You are an experienced PowerPoint user and you may have experience with video editing   You possess strong interpersonal skills  
  • You thrive in a team where everyone is hands-on and involved in strategic as well as practical matters  
  • You are fluent in English – preferably you are a native English speaker or have worked in an international company where English is the corporate language  
  • It is an advantage if you possess knowledge of the offshore industry  
  • Experience with professional SoMe campaigns is an advantage
