Continuing Airworthiness Manager - with commercial perspective and business flair

You will assume the overall responsibility for the Continuing Airworthiness Management Department (Nominated Post Holder) and the aircraft managed by Skyways Technics CAMO. The position requires close cooperation with both the Danish Competent Authority as well as other civil aviation authorities.

Skyways Technics wants to grow its CAMO activities and in close coordination with Skyways Technics maintenance sales team you will play a vital role in the development, optimization and expansion of the CAMO services to existing and future customers. Thus, a healthy commercial perspective combined with business appetite is a must to continuously expand and meet customer demands in a competitive market.

As a member of Skyways Technics management team, you will also be involved in cross organizational projects to improve the overall performance and positive development of Skyways Technics. Furthermore, you will play an important role in the support and operation of Skyways Technics Part 145 MRO activities.

CAMO Responsibilities:

  • CAMO management of aircraft in accordance with agreements and contracts
  • Ensuring that quality of workmanship in the final product is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness acceptable to clients as well as Authorities
  • Ensuring all regulatory responsibilities are being followed iaw the CAME
  • Updating and management of the CAME
  • Ensuring that the Engineering and Quality System Procedures are complied with, to achieve good practices and compliance with the regulations
  • Perform annual staff reviews, assessments and training
  • Prepare/obtain approval/revise the CAME iaw Competent Authority and EU/EASA requirements
  • In possession of a Valid EASA Part 66 License or Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
  • That you meet the requirements of AIC B 34/2012 and can obtain a Form-4 Approval by the Danish Aviation Authorities

The ideal candidate will preferably have experience and knowledge in the following areas:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a CAMO environment
  • Detailed knowledge of EASA 1321/2014 and ability to understand, interpret and apply these requirements
  • Knowledge of EASA 216/2008 Basic Regulation and EASA 965/2012 Air Operations
  • Good working knowledge of aircraft registry processes
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft records and Log Books, maintenance and airworthiness data
  • Understanding the Airworthiness Review process
  • Experience with turboprop and jet aircraft and applications
  • Management of smaller departments (2 to 6 FTE’s) onsite and / or remote locations
  • Good understanding of Lessor/Lessee market
  • Excellent skills in English language, spoken and written
  • Demonstrate good communications skills
  • Strong IT skills
