Control Development Engineer

Are you ready to join our team of highly skilled Control and Software Engineers, to help creating the future solutions for Control systems such as HVAC, monitoring and predictive maintenances?

We are looking for an engineer with a high degree of understanding Controls and Automation, but also has the competences in software engineering. An engineer who understands the essence of Control systems and algorithm, who can transfer this knowledge into the software solutions, that will solve problems and optimize the value for our customers.

As the specialist in the team you will have a significant impact on the technical decisions we make for our future solutions.

You will join the Controls & Connectivity software department, which currently consist of 18 software developers and project managers in Denmark and with a close cooperation with teams and projects in Denmark, India and China. We are working with the software development for all Grundfos Controllers and Connectivity solution.

“You will be part of an experienced and self-organized agile software team, who is exploiting the opportunities to create new digital solution to our customers. Furthermore, you will join our Control Software profession group," Manager, Kenneth Quade Kristensen says.

What is the job about? 

You will join our team working with Linux development in Industrial PC and Embedded Linux systems. You will do this based on business needs and in close collaboration with the digital offering projects. Together with the projects, you create the prototypes and solutions needed to validate new and innovative digital offerings. You will participate in the complete development cycle from analysis and design over coding and unit test to system testing and verification.

You will also take part in the platform and process development across the software organization, and you can expect to play a role in software architecture and technology analysis for the next generation of products and offerings.

What do you need to apply?

You could have a bachelor or master’s degree in Controls Engineering or experience with design and implementation of control algorithms. You can be an experienced specialist or newly graduated, however we need you to have the academic knowledge to be the expert in the team.

You are proficient in C/C++ and software development for Linux.

Experience with one or more of the following areas is an advantage:

  • Control design and modeling of HVAC components and subsystems
  • Classical feedback Control methods – Dynamic systems, Adaptive controllers, Control design in Time, Frequency and Laplace domain
  • Matlab or Modelica (Dymola)
  • Simulink/Stateflow
  • Agile SW development

Furthermore, we expect that you communicative effortlessly in English both verbally and in writing.
