The position

In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, Denmark, to meet the future need of our growing product pipeline. Therefore, we are looking for a combined data architect and steward. You will work with data strategy and mapping activities on a critical project with high strategic impact for Novo Nordisk’s future business.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development of strategies for mapping of data from different Vendor Provided Equipment (VPE) to a central Process Control System (PCS)
  • Development of the data asset policies and standards in alignment with the Data Governance Board
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert and central point of contact for the data assets
  • Support alignment between data quality, business, and data governance strategies and initiatives
  • Cross-disciplinary coordination between work packages

 

This project will give you the opportunity to be involved in a new, high-profile green field project, and to be involved in shaping a new department. The overall purpose of the data architect role is to support our ambition of products being released by real-time quality control and assurance, where digitalisation is of crucial importance.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Extensive experience with extracting data – preferably from equipment in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in building reports helping leaders and specialists to take data driven decisions
  • Great questioning technique when it comes to understanding both what type of data can be extracted and what data / reports are needed for decision making
  • A general understanding of IT/automation, infrastructure, IT security and databases. It is necessary to have experience with automation systems
  • A relevant academic degree (candidates with relevant technical background and extensive experience are welcome too) and full professional proficiency in English

About the department

Our team is part of the BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark Area that is located in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes requiring a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees and including cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying.

 

We are producing at full speed in existing facilities, while building and ramping up new state of the art additions to keep up with demand and new Novo Nordisk products. We bring value to patients by delivering the purest possible high-quality API made in compliance with GMP. We drive change by always looking for improvements within our processes, but also in the way we work together to make our products reach as many patients as possible.
