Linkfire is looking for a full-time Data Engineering Manager who can bring our fast-growing software and data engineering team to the next level, supporting our missions to create value through data.

You will join us to continue discovering and delivering new and exciting features for the 150+ million fans which we bring closer to their favorite artists every month.

You will join a company with roots and heart in music. We’re a team of designers, engineers, product managers and more, drawn from every corner of the globe. Your team will have a mix of data analysts, scientists and engineers working across multiple cross-functional, agile teams.

The common denominator? Music - we live and breathe the stuff.

The Role

We’re now looking for a technically experienced Engineering Manager to join our journey, help us grow and lead our Data Engineering Team.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with product, data and engineering leaders to set goals and expectations and support the team in succeeding
  • Empower the team members by trusting them with tasks and projects according to their expertise and ambitions
  • Ensure a culture of transparency and knowledge sharing through available and useful documentation and workshops
  • Support recruiting of new employees and onboard new colleagues to the teams
  • Design and monitor suitable processes for your team to support an efficient research and development process
  • Work in close collaboration with HR on individual development and speak on behalf of the team on general team well-being
  • Your qualifications

  • You have experience in leading and managing software and data engineers, ideally in a fast-growing startup environment
  • If you have additional experience working with data analysts and/or scientist that is a big plus
  • You have a strong technical background, e.g. you have been a senior engineer before adventuring into management
  • You know what it means to achieve high-performance engineering teams
  • You are able to identify challenges and find solutions for yourself and your team
  • You communicate clearly, listen, and show empathy, and can coach others to do the same
  • You are proficient with a broad range of technologies and able to acquire new ones quickly
  • If you have experience creating production-ready machine learning applications that is a plus
  • Sharing knowledge is something that you do and encourage
