Data Migration Lead

In order to secure the increased transparency and consistency required to demonstrate people compliance to Key Accounts, ISS is implementing a global HR system to unleash the full value of the asset of the business; the approximately 500,000 employees of ISS. This is the People@ISS project.

As Data Migration Lead at ISS and as part of the People@ISS implementation, you will be responsible for leading the data migration team. You and the team will be accountable for driving extraction of data from legacy systems in approximately 70 countries and consolidating data in global database and map/transform against global taxonomies. Furthermore, you will support the implementation partner in loading data to People@ISS (SuccessFactors) while continuously driving data validation and data cleansing throughout the project and ensuring increase of data quality and completeness.

With direct report to Head of Global Big Data.

Your main tasks are:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing the data migration team consisting of data analysts, both directly employed by ISS and engaged through a partner.
  • Establishing and indirectly managing a network of part time data Stewards in all countries with legacy systems to extract data from.
  • Collaborating with the entire People@ISS project team as well as local legacy system owners.
  • Working together with the Big Data Organization to share and receive leading practices for data migration.
  • Operating a data migration platform/tool and take part in establishing leading practices within ISS for large scale data migration projects. 

You probably have a background from a similar position as Data Migration Lead on a global HR SaaS implementation backed by additional experience from data migration, data cleansing and/or analytics in general. You have experience with operating and supporting data migration processes in at least one foreign country.

You have a Master’s degree within HR, IT or finance or the like, but most importantly is your experience. You must have good knowledge of HR SaaS systems such as SAP Successfactors or equivalent. As ISS is a truly global company, you must have professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

You are a person with an analytical and methodical mindset with flair for conceptual thinking. You are a good communicator, confidently interacting and collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels internally as well as externally.

As a leader and manager you drive engagement and results by your ability to understand individual profiles and adapt your communication, mentoring and coaching to meet with individual needs.
