An innovative and agile team
As our new Scrum Master and Software Developer, you will become part of the R&D Section in our headquarters located in Aarhus, following agile principles in software development. As part of the Customer Master Data Management Department (CMDM) you will be working in a team consisting of one architect, four developers and a software tester.

The position
In this role, you and your colleagues are responsible for the continued development of the Stibo Systems core product, STEP, and for guiding the team as their Scrum Master. The STEP solution is built in a Java structure, and due to the large amount of data and client specific features it is highly complex. The R&D Department works with a well-defined set of technologies, and a preference for Java backend programming is important, and technical skills in the frontend are desired.

The job entails:

  • Technologies including Java, React, Node.js, graphQL (GWT on legacy code)
  • Scrum based sprints and agile principles
  • A focus on parallelism, performance, scalability and security
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced developer, who wants to gain unique skills as a software developer. Experience as a Scrum Master, a Scrum certification or ambitions in that direction are required.

A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred, but your passion for delivering quality code and reaching results with your team are essential. We are an international organization, thus advanced English skills in writing and speech are required.

As a person, you have a systematic approach to your assignments along with a great drive and sense of responsibility. You can stay focused when working with large amounts of data, and teamwork motivates you.
You feel comfortable in an international setting with colleagues from around the world.

Stibo Systems offers
A challenging, internal position in an international company with solid growth and a stable economy as well as ambitions and visions for the future. You are offered an academically motivating environment with excellent opportunity for individual advancement and room for initiative and new ideas.
The working culture is informal and the head office offers nice surroundings in Højbjerg, south of Aarhus. Your salary packaging will match your qualifications and the requirements of the job consisting of fixed salary, pension, bonus prospects and other perks.

Dedicated team with inventive minds The Cloud team is a dedicated, autonomous group of developers within Stibo Systems, and we consist of approximately 25 people; 5 business people in the US, and 20 development resources split between the development offices in Denmark and Poland. As a small generic team, we can discuss and implement the technologies we consider suitable - and we are open to your ideas. The product is a SaaS platform for product data syndication, where vendors and retailors effortlessly can exchange detailed product information. We are working with large multi-dimensional data sets, and complex meta-specified data models, which means that we have interesting algorithmic problems to solve. The tech stack We develop the microservices using Java 11, Spring Boot 2, and Spring Cloud, where we define, generate, and document the APIs using Swagger. We build with Gradle, and provision using Terraform, Ansible, and Python. The solution is running in AWS using Docker containers. In addition, we use the following technologies:
  • Database: RIAK, will be transitioning to Cassandra.
  • Searching: SOLR, almost transitioned to Elasticsearch.
  • Event queue: Kafka
  • Monitoring: New Relic, Humio, Jäger, investigating Prometheus
  • Continuous integration: Bamboo, investigating Jenkins Pipelines
  • Source control: Bitbucket/GIT
  • UI: Angular and TypeScript.
We work in Scrums with dedicated front-end, back-end, DevOps, and QA responsibilities. However, we do prefer a good understanding of the other roles, and expect most back-end developers to be able to participate in DevOps tasks. What are we looking for? We are looking for back-end developers for our head quarter in Aarhus. You can be fresh out of school, perhaps with some experience as a student programmer, or you can be senior. We do not expect you to know our technology stack in advance, but an interest in learning the technologies, and new technologies in general, is obviously an advantage. Also, a relevant degree in Computer Science or Engineering, is key. Good English skills are important due to the cross-country collaboration with our colleagues. Do you thrive with challenges? Great! The project is still in the innovative phase, both functionally and architecturally, with many challenges to attack. Opportunities Stibo Systems is a global leader in Master Data Management (MDM), delivering solutions to world leading companies in manufacturing, distribution, retail, and several other industries. Tagglo, the new SaaS product syndication platform, integrates with the core MDM product suite, STEP, and with global retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, and others. To support all of this, Stibo Systems has a large technical organization with a lot of carrier opportunities, both nationally and internationally. For more general information, please check out tagglo.com and this introduction video to the SaaS product syndication platform, “Try Tagglo” (Youtube). Your remuneration package will include insurance, pension, and a bonus plan. We have company lunch, gym, spinning, yoga, running team, bicycling team, massages, cinema, and more. Due to our market status and the solid foundation of the Stibo Group, this position is an excellent opportunity to take your career further. Apply now! Please send a CV and cover letter in English to recruiting consultants Eva Haugaard Pedersen or Michelle Winther Andreassen via the contact information on this page. You are most welcome to give us a call should you have questions regarding the position. We look forward to hear from you!
