Document Control Lead Specialist for offshore wind farms

Can you put your knowledge of document control and overall documentation management to work in supporting a large team of Document Controllers to excel in their offshore wind farms projects?  

Join us and become Document Control Lead Specialist in our Document and Records Management department, where we support offshore wind farms with overall documentation and transfer processes. The department consists of three teams: Records Management, Technical Documentation & RDS-PP Specialists and Technical Documentation Support. We are located where the activities take place as integrated members of projects and operational teams, focusing intently on efficient information management.  

Your key tasks will be to 

  • act as the Subject Matter Expert within Document Control and provide management decision support 
  • drive process improvement and change management regarding systems and process improvement across Document and Records Management and Wind Power 
  • participate in the development and implementation of new tool and system functionality that support new business processes 
  • proactively facilitate, drive and implement knowledge sharing, process improvement and lessons learned for Document Control across the department 
  • develop reporting tools and report templates to support sufficient reporting and quality control of Document and Records Management deliverables. 

 As the Lead Specialist you’ll be a trusted advisor to both the department management and to the team members. This requires the ability to manage different opinions and still find the way forward.  

Your qualifications and core competences include that you 

  • have demonstrated that as Lead Specialist you can influence views and inspire trust at all levels and can focus on short- and especially long-term implications of decisions regarding process development and changes 
  • have 8 - 10 years of Technical Documentation experience, preferably within construction activities, vendor documentation and engineering documentation included. 
  • have above-average IT skills and knowledge of document management systems, SharePoint, and that you know how such systems are used in a technical engineering environment 
  • knowledge of requirements for training and Document and Records management from bench-marking standards (ISO 9001, NORSOK) 
  • speak and write English fluently and have good communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effortlessly with your stakeholders. 

 Furthermore, you have a proactive and structured approach to your work and a good sense of the balance between detail and the end goal. You know how to manage and prioritise your tasks and are able to work on several challenges simultaneously.
