Electrical Power Engineer

Do you have experience with MV/HV test and commissioning activities? Do you want to be a part of a company driven by delivering world-class, energy solutions? Preparing and designing technical solutions
As Electrical Power Engineer you will be a part of our Engineering & Plant Support Department, which is a part of the Service area and handles plant support, trouble shooting, project engineering, procurement of equipment, Test & Commissioning for our power plant customers. You will be heading or participate in project teams working closely together with colleagues from other in the Service department.

You will play an active role in the design phase in relation to selecting suppliers and working out technical solutions. You will typically also take part in MV/HV trouble shooting and Test & Commissioning activity on site which means you must foresee travel periods within the range of a few days, few weeks and sometime up to some months.
Furthermore, your tasks will include:

  • Primarily engineering of HV and MV systems but also other electrical duties
  • Preparation of design concepts, control concepts and single line diagrams
  • Preparation of technical specification requirements for HV and MV systems with related relay protection for generators, transformers, outdoor and indoor station plants, HV-cables, Battery & PV Solar systems etc.
  • Preparation of signal lists and wiring lists by means of COMOS Siemens Industry Software or simple tools like Excel etc.
  • Preparation of electrical studies and calculations by means of NEPLAN or ETAP software
  • Contact with customers, consultants and suppliers
  • Preparation of project documentation and manuals
  • Execution of quality control in relation to Factory Acceptance Tests at supplier works
  • Assistance to our sites in relation to Test & Commissioning activities and with short notice general trouble shooting.
  • Experienced team player
    You have an Electrical Power Engineering degree or similar. You have both interest in, knowledge about and experience with the above-mentioned areas. Experience from suppliers, distribution companies or similar is also an advantage.

  • Are result oriented, capable of cooperating, creative and positive
  • Are an important teammate contributing to the well-established community
  • Have an interest in and flair for working with project engineering and service projects
  • Master written and spoken English and knowledge of other languages is an advantage
  • Can remain focused and maintain perspective under pressure – also during longer periods of high intensity operations
  • Want to work in a matrix organisation with collaboration across departments 
  • We expect you to have a methodical and structured approach and that you like to work with frequently changing projects and duties - however, always paying attention to details and respecting deadlines.
