Engineering Champions for Automation and Autonomous Vehicles

AGCO’s Research & Advanced Engineering center in Randers, Denmark is searching for four additional highly skilled software, control or mechatronic engineers to grow our global competences within automation, digitalization and autonomous vehicles. Within this brought technology field, your specific role and responsibility can be matched with your technical competences as well as your interest and motivation. Though based locally in Randers, you will become part of our global Research & Advanced Engineering organization and play a key role in the development of technologies and concepts enabling the introduction of highly automated and autonomous agriculture vehicles and processes.

Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, students and technicians work jointly every day to explore new ideas and opportunities to deliver step change technologies and concepts enabling enhanced productivity and sustainability in agriculture.
We are motivated by technology and use agile engineering principles to shorten the path from idea to reality utilizing our unique facilities for virtual development, prototyping, lab testing and field testing.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Ideation and trend scouting enabling future technology concepts and system solutions in agriculture
- Direct communication with internal stakeholders and end-users to identify, understand and prioritize requirements
- Close collaboration with global engineering teams for seamless product introduction of developed technologies
- Design of experiments for applications in an agricultural environment (virtual, lab and field environments)
- Processing and analysis of collected data and test results
- Algorithm design and implementation
- Evaluation and presentation of results
- Collaboration with external technology partners

Across the four new positions, we are looking for competences within the following areas:
- Basic and advanced digital image processing methods
- Control Engineering, Machine learning and AI
- Digital signal processing and analytics
- Pattern recognition and classification from 3D sensor data
- Programming in C++, Python and Matlab
- Domain knowledge from agriculture, agriculture machinery or other off-highway vehicles is a an advantage
- Experience with electronic architectures and systems engineering is an advantage
- Knowledge of Linux, Git and Arduino is an advantage

- An innovative and creative mind-set is essential as detailed product requirements or the engineering toolbox or processes is rarely defined upfront
- Great networking capabilities – you understand how to build and utilize your network for greater achievements
