Experience and Culture Maker @ UR

The Experience and Culture Maker role is responsible for assisting with the design and execution of the organization’s employee engagement strategy. The ideal candidate will be creative, analytical, adaptable and enthusiastic about helping every employee engage and connect with the enterprise and each other. Serve as the coordinator for programs, activities and events that support URs innovative and collaborative culture, engage staff members, and foster an environment of learning, wellbeing, community, and fun.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination and participate in UR-wide events/activities managed. Identify ways to improve upon current events, and research, explore and make recommendations to implement new events and activities that support an innovative and collaborative culture. Engage staff to determine trends, wants and needs. Work with vendors, and other internal and external resources. Oversee communications and registrations for events.
  • Identify and implement programs, events and activities that promote and support physical and mental well-being. Develop a Wellness Committee. Conduct research on successful wellness programs and identify and recommend ways to improve upon UR's program.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties that support the work of the Climate, Culture, Community (C3) Section to include collaborating with other section staff on implementing initiatives that enhance overall employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to assess survey results, identify trends, recommend solutions to address issues relating to employee engagement and measure action planning outcomes.
  • Work with HR teams and Marketing and Communications to design internal communications that support URs Core Values.
  • Support development of content for URs Global Town Halls and other internal employee communications & engagement programs.
  • Support UR Employee Resource Groups and provide input into Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
  • Coordinate change management and stakeholder engagement activities including developing presentations and communicating plans and anticipated outcomes that support positive stakeholder relationships.
  • May be asked to participate in other Organizational Development initiatives or projects as needed.
  • International Travel will be required.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organization Development or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Robust sense of accountability, sound judgment, and dependability.
  • Strong team player, collaborator and positive influence on organizational culture. Strong organization and planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel).

 

Preferred

  • Preferred 2 years of experience in employee engagement and employee communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, event management, communication and change management.
  • Familiarity with managing a Wellness Program.
  • Experience in event planning.

 

Special Working Conditions: Must be able and willing to occasionally work extended hours and weekends.
