Experienced Fullstack developer for defence project

Do you want to develop software that makes a difference for soldiers in the field? Do you have experience with Fullstack systems development? Yes? Then you could be a developer in our Defence department.

Your code helps soldiers communicate
You will be an important member in the IRIS project which helps thousands of NATO soldiers from different countries communicate effectively in a common digital language. Your work centres around making military communication easier, and so you will help to ensure the optimal execution of operations in the field. As a Fullstack developer, you will be responsible for developing new features for IRIS, for the ongoing development of automated testing in the project, and for improving the existing code across a variety of technologies. You will be part of a highly qualified team consisting of experienced developers, testers, an architect, and a project manager. The team consists of 15 people, split into sub-teams of two or three people working together closely on complex tasks.

You will have the following duties:

  • producing high quality new code
  • developing new features for IRIS
  • the ongoing development of automated testing
  • improving legacy code

We would like to develop IRIS with an emphasis on continuous delivery in the Defence department. So, if you have a passion for streamlining development environments and automated testing, you’ll have the opportunity to spearhead the ongoing development of these areas. Make a difference in a global software development agency
At Systematic, we mean it when we say that we want to make a difference. This is why we dare to challenge and develop ourselves and each other. We share our knowledge about our processes and are always on the lookout for ways to be smarter and develop even better solutions. Together we focus on building a culture in which everyone can make decisions that make sense in day-to-day life. You are challenged on a daily basis, and close co-operation is paramount in ensuring that we make a difference to the world we live in.

Experienced developer with initiative
We expect you to have a background in engineering or computer science, and to have at least three years of software development experience. You thrive on being given responsibility and have the confidence to share your ideas. You enjoy working with changing technologies and like to challenge and develop your skills. You approach your work methodically, analytically, and systematically. You are motivated by working on tasks together with others in a team environment. Furthermore, you are fluent in both written and spoken English. Experience with NATO MTF standards or development environments is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You are also interested in and have experience with:

  • Javascript
  • C++
  • C#
  • Java/Scala
  • AngularJS

Furthermore, you are fluent in both written and spoken English.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.

Have we not answered all of your questions?
Your first day of work will be June 1 2018, and we continuously assess applications. Place of work is Aarhus. We look forward to hearing from you.
