Job Description

Are you a Master in Mechanical Engineering with solid experience with design and calculations within steel and polymers? As Mechanical Engineer you will work in projects designing End Fittings for our product to be anchored securely to subsea and surface structures.

Do you have experience with design and calculations for steel structures? As our new Mechanical Design Engineer you will work with a highly technical and specialized product in our End Fittings department. End Fittings are a vital part of our offshore flexible pipe systems as all anchoring and interfacing of the pipes ends via End Fittings.

Your role

As an Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, you have project responsibility in a range of tasks through the project phases, where you can leverage your skills and experience within mechanical engineering, project coordination and collaboration to succeed. These tasks include design and calculation of steel constructions, verification and documentation of project-specific solutions as well as analytical and numerical calculations.

You are also part of all stages of a given project, from the project’s very beginning to factory support at our manufacturing facility in Kalundborg, customer and supplier contact and on to final delivery to the customer. We also expect to you to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and calculation methods.

Your success will be measured by how well you meet the customers’ requirements and ensure the groundwork for each project’s success.

Cooperation across the globe

You will also work together with highly skilled colleagues. The End Fitting Supply (EFS) department have 4 project execution teams with approx. 50 colleagues in total. The teams are organized in a matrix organization with disciplines of: Engineers, Drafters, Buyers and Data Specialists who all carries a professional attitude and committed to deliver the highest quality products. This setup supports an agile and motivating work atmosphere.

Thorough, competent and communicative:

  • You have a Master’s in Engineering with a solid knowledge of strength, fatigue and materials (metals and polymers)
  • You have minimum three years’ experience with calculations of steel constructions, strength science and all related documentation and verification.
  • You communicate well in Danish and English, because we are a diverse company, and we count some of the largest oil and gas companies as our customers.
  • You take pride in taking a structured and quality-conscious approach to work, as the documentation requirements in the offshore industry are very high.
  • You’re a good team player, when the best results are called for, and you partner easily with colleagues, suppliers, project managers and staff at the factory, where your end-fitting designs are made a reality.
