External Lecturer for the Graduate Diploma program (HD) in Innovation Management

A position as External Lecturer in the Graduate Diploma Program (HD) in Innovation Management at the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics is available at the earliest possible date. The position is on a temporary part-time basis and limited to three years.

Besides supervision of students, the external lecturer must teach the course: Management, Organization and Marketing of Innovation including examination.
The objective of the course is to build the knowledge and skills needed to manage innovation projects along the entire innovation process from idea generation to implementation, and to help students develop an understanding of the central challenges and available solutions involved in organizing for innovation and incorporating a market-orientation throughout the innovation process. The course is specifically devoted to taking an in-depth look at how innovation can be managed across organizational boundaries and thus focuses on Open Innovation exemplified by:

Distributed sources of innovationOpen vs. closed innovation processes and modelsInbound, outbound and coupled open innovation processesOrganizational antecedents of (open) innovationOrganizational designs for (open) innovationOpen innovation methods and toolsMarket orientation in innovation projectsMarketing methods and tools for (open) innovationQualifications  

The position requires a master's degree or equivalent qualifications within a relevant topic. Practical
and relevant teaching experience is desirable. Teaching-related qualifications
will be included in the assessment.
Language proficiency in Danish and English required.


Salary and employment take place in accordance with the circular regarding external lecturers at universities, etc. under the Ministry of Education. The number of working hours is a minimum of 100 hours and a maximum of 500 hours per academic year and may vary during the semester. The number of hours will be determined twice a year and the employee will be paid in accordance with this. In connection with employment as an external lecturer, the future employee must accept to take a pedagogical course organized by CBS and participate in lecturer meetings.
