Finance Assistant

The Job
You should preferably be enrolled in a finance master programme, or similar that’s given you accounting knowledge. You are an ideal candidate for this role if you have experience or are up for being a contact person for customers. You are attentive to detail, good with numbers and feel comfortable learning new systems on the job. On top of this, you’re a team player generally up for new challenges and taking on responsibilities at an early stage.

You’ll learn to handle different types of tasks and gain deep insights into the day-to-day operations of a young software firm. Since the finance team only consists of the Manager and another student, you will acquire a lot of experience from day one. The job is a part-time position designed for 20 hours a week.

What You'll Be Doing

  • A/P and A/R management, including billing, collection activities, customer and supplier correspondence.
  • Bookkeeping and documentation.
  • Management and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Running the month-end processes.
  • Assisting in yearly audit and any related tasks.
  • Improving and documenting existing workflows.
  • Other ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

  • Preferably enrolled in a Finance Master’s
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles and practices. You know your debit from credit.
  • Social and service-minded.
  • Able to keep a cool head under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Savvy IT user who easily picks up new systems.
  • Proven Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team-player, efficient, structured, and solution-oriented.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Bonus point

  • Experience in SaaS company
  • Knowledge of E-conomic
