Finance Manager

Finance, business and people minded professional
In this newly established position as Finance Manager for Braun Scandinavia you will refer directly to the Duomed Group CFO and be part of the 3 person Danish leadership team together with the Sales Director and the Operations & Marketing Manager. You will build on the existing setup and make sure it is professionally incorporated in the international setting of Duomed Group in all respects of a modern finance function. Initially the finance function will be you and an accountant who will assist you in the more day-to-day operational accounting and financial tasks. Naturally, leading a small dynamic financial team also means that you involve yourself in all areas within your scope and occasionally and when needed take part in the more operational financial tasks.

The general scope of your job will be finance but you will also handle some HR-related tasks:

  • Bridge the gap between the business and the finance department
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual year-end accounts
  • Provide and develop monthly reporting and management information
  • Statutory declarations (annual accounts, VAT, Intrastat, pharmaceutical inspection, etc.)
  • Prepare annual audit + point of contact auditors
  • Various assignments and optimisation projects in the accounting environment
  • Actively involved in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Optimise the collaboration between the various departments.
  • Monitor the application of the existing procedures and, in consultation with the CFO, take action to improve the existing processes
  • Manage the salary budgeting and monitoring processes, including monthly reconciliation of salaries
  • Provide monthly reporting of headcounts & salaries
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs
  • Provide guidance and input on HR-related issues
  • Responsible for recruitment processes and develop contract terms and salary agreements for new hires, promotions and transfers
  • Identify training needs and participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

You have financial insight as well as passion for business and people
Ideally you have a BSc in accountancy/finance or equivalent and a deep and all-round fiscal knowledge and insight. You probably have a few years' experience from a similar position, or alternatively you are now ready to take your next step in you career and develop as a financial professional and as a manager. Your personal traits and professional scope comprise the following areas:

  • Project and process oriented in an organised manner
  • Communication skills – especially in financial matters
  • Think solutions
  • Analytical mind and ability to communicate and present data and financial topics at multiple levels
  • A strong affinity with finance and business processes
  • Independent and accurate.
  • Strong team player
  • Good user knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel)
  • Work smoothly with ERP systems
  • People management experience
  • Proficiency in Danish and English at professional level.
