Finance Manager

- international position with leadership responsibility

Are you an experienced manager with a strong background in accounting and controlling and do you have the ability to ensure timeliness and quality in financial processes? Then the job as Finance Manager Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S might be a position for you.

We are looking for a Finance Manager who has experience in leading and developing a finance team. You will be based at our office in Aalborg, Denmark and will report directly to Managing Director.
Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S is the world’s leading supplier of marine boilers and is a central site in the Marine Division of Alfa Laval. We employ 375 employees working with sales, manufacturing, R&D, engineering, order execution and service. Turnover is more than 1 bDKK.

Your main responsibility will be to lead and manage a well-functioning finance team of 14 dedicated colleagues and your primary tasks will be:

  • Ensure timeliness and quality in financial processes, including accounting, controlling and reporting
  • Be part of the local management team with focus on compliance and corporate governance
  • Responsible for governance of ERP and related IT solutions
  • Manage main stakeholders, like group finance, auditors, external authorities, etc.


Your qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Experienced manager with strong background in accounting and controlling
  • Solid IT competences within MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint), ERP and business intelligence
  • Experience in leading and developing finance team
  • Preferable a track record from an international engineering and manufacturing businesses
  • Thrive in a complex matrix organization.
  • Possess profound tactical as well as operational skills


As a person, you are a positive and committed self-starter, with a strategic mind-set and good implementation skills. You have a very well-developed sense of ownership and come across as a likeable and trustworthy person.

You are a strong team player and have a very healthy sense of humor.
