The position

We are currently looking for a Global Customer Order Handler for our department in Nærum. As a Global Customer Order Handler, you book, supply and ship orders worldwide. You ensure that Hottinger, Brüel & Kjær’s (HBK´s) quality products are sent safely, correctly and on time in close cooperation with our sales companies, distributors, planning, production and warehouse. The Order Handling department consists of 10 skilled colleagues divided into 2 teams and you will refer to the Global Customer Order Manager. We strive daily to ensure high customer satisfaction and excellent service to our customers and colleagues. We are responsible for ensuring an efficient order flow internally, including the best shipping solutions. In addition, we perform an active and comprehensive export control process and are also responsible for invoicing. As a Global Customer Order Handler, you have both joint and individual responsibilities, and work closely together with your team every day to succeed and achieve goals. We offer good flexibility in our everyday life, great teamspirit and daily focus on creating both job satisfaction and continuously process improvements. We currently work at the office in Nærum and will move to new locations in Virum during the autumn.

Primary responsibilities 

Your primary responsibilities in the position will be: 

• Scheduling and booking orders in Oracle and SAP 

• Ensure correct data and delivery times

 • Follow-up on orders in your own and the team's area 

• Follow up on export control, payment and credit status

 • Booking of shipments via freight forwarder 

• Prepare documents in connection with exports, imports and letters of credit

 • Daily dialogue with sales offices, distributors, planning, production and warehousing 

• Invoicing of orders 

• Continuous process improvements 

Professional qualifications 

You most probably have several years of experience with order processing and shipping. Maybe you hold a Bachelor within logistics or are educated as a freight forwarder. You are used to working with shipments; especially air freight, road and courier and have a good knowledge of export documents and Inco Terms. You take pride in making sure your orders are delivered on time and you thrive on helping others and reaching deadlines. You are fluently in both Danish and English, and thrives in an international environment. You find it natural and exciting to optimize processes, systems and tools. 

You might also have experience in the following areas / systems: 

• Import, customs processing, HS codes

• Oracle / SAP

• MS Office suite

• Letter of Credit

Personal skills

You work well both independently and in teams, and are distinctly solution-oriented. You take initiative and responsibility in your work and are able to prioritize your tasks and ensure an overview in a sometimes busy day. You ensure high quality in your work and have a good eye for details. You are used to working with goals and have a strong focus on both customer satisfaction, delivery compliance and the other KPIs, which help to ensure HBK´'s high standards. As a person, you are empathetic, social and have a positive outlook on life. You always communicate constructively, inspire others with your good mood and a high personal drive. You see opportunities, always helpful and service-minded.
