Global Director in Multichannel and Commercial Systems

In order to bring Novo Nordisk to the next level within usage of multi-channel technology for customer engagement we are currently searching for a Global Director with a demonstrated history of development and execution of a multi-channel customer engagement strategy.

The area has a strategic priority within Novo Nordisk’s global commercial organisation and you will be the one heading up the development and execution of the 2020 strategy within global multi-channel customer engagement.

About the department
Your department, Multichannel and Commercial Systems, is anchored in Commercial Operations where we take pride in ‘Enabling Commercial Opportunities for our stakeholders across the entire Novo Nordisk Product Portfolio’, which includes all brands at Novo Nordisk. You will report to the Vice President and be a key member of the Commercial Operations management team (6 Directors).

The specific focus of the department is to ‘Enable More, Meaningful and Effective Customer Engagements by providing enabling technology and processes’. The team currently consists of 5 engaged senior project managers and specialists and is supported by a team in India as well as Novo Nordisk’s Corporate IT. Furthermore the team has a strong connection and collaboration with the Customer Engagement team, also anchored in Commercial Operations. Depending on the success and needed foundation to ensure more, meaningful and effective non-personal customer engagements, the team might grow in the future.

The position
You will be accountable for a department, its stakeholder relations, as well as a large project budget. A key responsibility is to ensure the development and execution of a global multi-channel customer engagement roadmap and platform in close collaboration with our regions and selected affiliates. This includes close collaboration with and learnings from our US colleagues. An equally important task is to lead the team and drive people engagement by setting clear expectations, provide timely feedback, and focus on coaching and development.

You will provide a sustainable global MCM/Omni channel platform and establish processes and capabilities with global and affiliate partners. You will have responsibility of ensuring stable and sustainable operations of existing commercial and digital systems and you will support Brand Marketing and existing commercial stakeholders at global, regional and affiliate level. This includes System Ownership of Veeva Promomats, Novo Nordisk Global Website platform, Brand Portal/Digital Asset Management and ensuring stable system management set-up in Novo Nordisk Shared Service Centre in Bangalore, India.

Along with a deep insight in multi-channel technology, this position requires a deep business understanding and understanding of how to link technology to a complex global business, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

You are or you have been head of development and execution of a multi-channel customer engagement strategy in a global complex organisation, where you have shown an innovative mind-set and a strong ability to lead people and manage your stakeholders.

You are known as a person who is ambitious and sets high standards. You work in a positive and collaborative, fast-paced manner and you are engaged, customer-oriented and possess strong communication skills. Furthermore you hold an academic degree and are fluent in English.
