About the department
Global Medical Affairs in Novo Nordisk is responsible for the communication of scientific data to Health Care Professionals and colleagues around the globe. The Insulin Vice President (VP) area has 30 employees, divided into different teams with responsibility for our insulin portfolio. You will be part of a team with nine highly skilled and dedicated medical doctors responsible for Degludec and IDegLira.

The position
As a Global Medical Manager, you belong to a highly motivated group of Medical Doctors with clinical, research and/or pharmaceutical experience, and who are passionate about scientific and medical communication.

As a Global Medical Manager, you will be involved in the generation, interpretation and communication of scientific evidence. You will engage with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and diabetes educators and lead the generation of internal presentations, e-learnings, slide-kits, review of promotional material etc.

Building strong relationships is an important part of your role as Global Medical Manager. Internally you have to ensure fruitful collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Market Access, Global Development, Clinical Operations, Global Safety, Communications and Regulatory Affairs. Externally, you will act as a liaison between Novo Nordisk and the scientific community and play an important role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and Global experts within diabetes.

Frequent travel is an integral part of your role as Global Medical Manager and travel to global conferences and scientific meetings are required. You can expect a minimum of 40 travel days per year.

Qualifications
You are a Medical Doctor with at least 2-3 years of clinical experience and preferably research experience (clinical or basic science) and/or business education. Previous experience from a pharmaceutical company is a plus.

We would like you to be action-oriented, with a strong drive and focus on results. As a lot of the tasks will involve public speaking and engaging with multiple stakeholders you will have strong leadership-skills, be extrovert and demonstrate adaptability. You are a team-player with good peer relationships, well-structured and persistent, have integrity and are good at solving problems. Moreover you have a flexible attitude, willingness to travel and are motivated for personal development. Fluent in English language (company language) both in speaking and writing along with strong presentation skills is a must.

The position is based in Denmark in Søborg (10 kilometres from the centre of Copenhagen).
