Join us as our new Global Process Engineer, Biodiesel Technology in Lyngby
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting biodiesel (FAME) engineering projects as a member of the Process Technology Team. You will function as a chemical engineer handling process design aspects and supporting project execution at any point from pre-project through construction and commissioning.

The position will involve close collaboration with commercial teams across the globe.

Welcome to our Process Technology Team
The Process Technology Team is a newly established function within Novozymes Agriculture and Industrial Biosolutions division. We are a high-energy team on a global mission to deploy process technologies that leverage biological catalysts with world-class process design and engineering to support the transition to more sustainable transportation fuels. Today more than 30 biodiesel plants across the globe are operating with Novozymes’ in-house developed proprietary technology, using Novozymes’ enzymes.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading process engineering design at conceptual and basic engineering level on various biodiesel retrofit and new plant opportunities and projects, encompassing the following deliverables:
  • Configuration and optimization of Process Flow Diagrams through heat and material balance simulations.
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Equipment Duty Specifications.
  • Operating manual and other standard Basic Engineering Design deliverables.
  • Supporting client and client’s contractor during the EPC-phase and plant commissioning.
  • Developing of tools and templates to increase efficiency in execution of proposals and projects.
  • Contributing to innovation of biodiesel technology as it comes natural during conceptual studies. and everyday interaction with colleagues from R&D.

To succeed you must hold
  • Masters' degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 7-8 years of work experience or more.
  • As a minimum, relevant process design experience, or operating experience with biodiesel technology.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills within process simulation software and excel.

Location
The job is based in Kgs. Lyngby and requires up to 10% travel days per year.
