Offshore Wind – Management – Worldwide Sales – Strategy Development

The position

Your main objective is to develop the strategy and drive the commercial activities for growth in the Offshore Wind business. You will lead the team responsible for securing long-term contracts for newbuild vessels, as well as for the overall development of the business offerings in the renewable space. You will be responsible for identifying and developing long lasting client relations and business opportunities. The commercial team work close with legal and operations. The position is located in the heart of Offshore Denmark – Esbjerg, with reference to the CCO.

Additional responsibilities are:

  • Expand ESVAGT’s leading position in Service Operation Vessels (SOV) in the wind industry
  • Advance go-to-market strategy in Europe and beyond – including expansion in the US together with our Joint Venture partner
  • Create compelling sales pitches and business cases
  • Develop and commercialize new service offerings
  • Build strong customer relations
  • Lead a team of skilled employees
  • Tender and contract responsible for Offshore Wind and New Services
  • Identifying new market opportunities and new sales channels
  • Ensure overview and interfaces with internal stakeholders

The candidate

You have extensive experience from a similar position within sales, business development & strategy implementation with the renewables industry. Preferably you have a good understanding of service operating vessels or other relevant commercial business insight from technical sales. You should be able to demonstrate strategic and tactical skills within sales and solution project selling to further excel the global expansion.

Additional qualifications are essential:

  • Excellent at building strong customer relations – both at shopfloor and at senior levels
  • Independent/self-starter with a large drive, but also a good team-player who can cooperate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in analyzing international tenders and contracts
  • Capable people manager
  • Chartering experience from either offshore or wind is a benefit, as is prior experience in Offshore Wind in general
