Be MHI Vestas Sales’ floating expert and play an active role in developing and winning floating offshore wind projects

Are you ready to take on the newly established role within Sales as our floating offshore wind expert? Are you a strong and experienced networker and negotiator with solid knowledge of offshore wind turbines and proven project management skills?

 

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…act as the know-how and competence centre within Sales for floating projects and be the expert that actively drives the floating offshore wind development, supporting the early engagements and the transaction teams in winning floating offshore wind projects. You will be the overall responsible for building and prioritising MHI Vestas’ floating project sales pipeline and be the internal and external face of our floating ambition. 

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Build an extensive network and pipeline of floating offshore wind projects
  • Work with the relevant MHI Vestas functions towards readiness for large-scale floating offshore projects 
  • Support and work with Strategic Marketing in with determining the long-term floating strategy and provide market information 
  • Handle the early engagement and customer contact on floating project opportunities in alignment with the regions
  • Actively support the transaction teams in the regions and Service Sales during the bidding and negotiation phases for floating projects
  • Negotiate early works agreements
  • Share relevant knowledge across the regions and within the organization in general

 

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

…has extensive experience with negotiations of large projects combined with solid product and wind industry knowledge. To succeed in this position, you must have a technical background and thrive with many stakeholders, where you are expected to proactively build and maintain strong relations with both internal and external stakeholders. Good leadership skills and a strategic mindset combined with strong business and commercial acumen is required in this role. 

We expect that you: 

  • Are a strong communicator with good project management skills
  • Have contractual experience and knowledge of different types of contracts (e.g. FIDIC)
  • Are able to grasp the technology aspects of floating offshore wind and able to spar with our other internal floating experts and customers
  • Superior English communication and presentation skills 
  • Have an analytical and structured work style
  • Have a positive and reflective mindset combined with a team player approach 
  • Like to build a network and actively reach out to people
